Founder Warden Lutfar Rahman Memorial Scholarship Award program was held at Chunati Meherunnesa Primary School, Chunati, Chittagong on the 5th of January, 2017. Prior to that, a daylong workshop on "Modern Teaching Techniques and Best use of Modern Resources" was held on 3rd January. 16 teachers from different schools of Chunati attended the training programme. Ms Sanjida Rahman (Daughter of Late Mr. Lutfar Rahman) and Mr. Faisal Azim (Husband of Ms. Sanjida Rahman) facilitated the training session. Mr Faisal Azim is presently working as a senior teacher of Mathematics at Sir John Wilson School, Dhaka and Ms. Sanjida Rahman is working as the Homeroom Teacher at Australian International School, Dhaka. Six most progressive students achieved gift hampers and certificates. The Founder Warden Lutfar Rahman Memorial Scholarship Award was given to six best students from Classes 1 to 6. The members of Rahman family handed over certificates, crests and prize money. The amount of prize money for classes 1 to 3's best performing students was BDT. 2000/ student . For the best performing students of class 4 to 6 was BDT. 3000/ student. An Art competition was also held on the same date and certificates were distributed among the 32 participants including the three best performing students. Among the members of Rahman family Dr. Sultan Hafizur Rahman, Capt. Ahmed Fazlur Rahman, Dr. Sadik Saifur Rahman, Ms. Ferdausi Shaheen, Ms Sharmin Rahman, Mrs. Nusrat Jahan Rosy, Mr. Shaheen Raja and the grand children of Late Mr. Lutfar Rahman were present. Among the guests Mr. Islam Khan ( Founder of Khan Foundation), UNO of Lohagara Upazila Mr. Fiznur Rahman, former Acting Principal of Chunati Mohila College Mr. Amin Ahmed Khan, Former teacher of Chunati High School Mr, Mamshadur Rahman (Alo Sir), Chittagong Zilla Parishad Member Mr. Anowar Kamal, The Chairman of Chunati Union Parishad Mr. Joynal Abedin, The Principal of Chunati Mohila College Mr. Abu Nayeem Azad, social worker Mr. Rabiul Hassan Ashique, Dr. Nawshad Ahmed Khan and other respected people of Chunati were present. Books and other materials of education were handed over to students by the Regional Manager of Lecture Publications Ltd.
