Terms and Conditions:

# EVENT RULES & GUIDELINES:

The following event rules and guidelines are intended to help produce to ensure the safety of all participants as well as to meet the requirements set by the organizer.

Entry fees are non-refundable and the ‘chunati.com’ retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the stated entry requirements

# REGISTRATION:

1. Registration may be completed online through the event website.

2. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate registration details.

3. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entries without giving any reason.

4. Entries are not accepted after the closing of the registration period.

5. Until a payment of 400 Tk is made, registration process is not completed and participants will not be given race t-shirt & bib & eventually cannot participate in the marathon.

6. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually take part in the event for whatever reason.

7. On race day, in the event of inclement weather, force majeure or other hazardous conditions, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race, shorten the race or modify the course.

# PARTICIPATION:

1. After successful submission of online registration form, you will be issued a batch number.

2. If you are experiencing any difficulties or having confusion or any mistake/error happened during registration process, please contact admin and get it sorted by 02 December 2022. After this date no more changes are allowed.

3. Race t-shirt with event name imprinted & bib (runner’s identification number) will be given to each participants few days before the event.

4. You will be notified about collection point of race t-shirt & bib before the collection date.

5. You can authorize anyone to collect your race t-shirt & bib by filling up ‘Race kit collection authorization form’.

6. Your batch written in bib is very important. Please remember this number. You must pin your race bib to the front of your race t-shirt using a safety pin.

7. A valid email address & phone number is required for all entries. All correspondence will be via email & WhatsApp. If you do not have WhatsApp installed in your mobile, you are encouraged to install it. Prior the event organizer will create a WhatsApp group with all participants which shall be used to disseminate all race related information smoothly.

8. Your email address is important. After completion of event, we send you a link to your email to download ‘official race certificate and official race photos’.

9. Minimum age requirement: To register for the Marathon your age must be between 15 to 60 years old on event day.

10. Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and terms & conditions before participating in the event.

11. All participants take part at their own risk and a disclaimer waiving all claims against the Chuanti.com Marathon.

12. Marathon participants must complete the race (full distance-10 km) within 3 hours. After 3 hours race will be dismissed. If any participant fails to complete the race in 3 hours, his name & timing will not be enlisted in the official list as ‘Finisher’. However, all participants yet will be given a participation medal.

13. Before starting the race, please give careful consideration to your ability to complete the course in the allotted time

14. By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation to be used to publicise any chunati.com event.

15. Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and MUST NOT be exchanged with or transferred/ sold to any other person. Transfers between runners can only be done officially through chunati.com marathon authority within the deadline of transfer given. Sale of race entry/bibs are strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.

16. All participants must provide their full name and details of any health problems to chunati.com marathon authority. If any medical condition is there which may jeopardise safety of the runner & putting him at risk. They are strongly recommended to refrain from taking part in the marathon.

17. All entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred toward a future event.

18. Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity.

# RUN CONDUCT

1. It is the participant’s responsibility to start and finish at the correct location and complete the correct course.

2. Participants must complete the entirety of the course by themselves, and not use any other person, vehicle or mode to move their tracking device around the course.

# DISQUALIFICATIONS

The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify a participant if he or she:

1. Does not meet the age criteria

2. Fails to pass through all mandatory checkpoints along the route

3. Completes the run outside the allowed time period

4. Uses a vehicle or a faster runner to record their run, or seeks to improve their ranking by any other illegal means

5. Finishes a race distance more than once

6. Gives incorrect personal information

7. Argues with or confronts any race officials

8. Runs the route in the incorrect direction

- The Organiser reserves the right to give a time penalty if a participant inadvertently takes an incorrect route.

# OTHERS:

1. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the venue, date or time of the Event. There will be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for whatever reason.

2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any rules and regulations without prior notice.

3. Failure to observe the rules and regulations shall result in disqualification and no refund will be given. The Organiser, their partners, staff and/or agents will not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any death or injury, damage or loss, suffered or caused while attending this competition, and this includes all costs and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.

# EVENT DAY:

1. Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel, security officers and city officials throughout the duration of the event.

2. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event. This means, for example, that urinating or defecating anywhere on or near the course shall be strictly prohibited except in toilet facilities. Anyone violating this rule of conduct shall be disqualified from the event and will be asked to leave the course.

3. Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.

4. Bicycles or any other wheeled device will not be permitted on the course.

5. Some hydration station will be set up along the way of the trail. Runner can lift drink & snack available in the hydration station.

6. All participants must acknowledge and agree that personal information can be stored, used and disclosed by chunati.com marathon organizer.

# THE START:

1. Participants shall assemble for the race in their assigned “assembled area” no less than 15 minutes prior to the race start.

2. Any person who climbs the fence/barrier or otherwise enters improperly shall be disqualified from the event.

3. Participants must begin the event during the official recognized starting times.

4. All participants must be positioned behind the starting line when starting.

# RACE MONITORING:

1. A badge collection point shall be set up at every 1 mile’s interval. All runners need to collect the badge from each collection station. Total 8 badges to collected. During official result confirmation all 8 badges will be checked by organizer. If any runner fails to produce all 8 badges will be declared disqualified.

2. Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of the event official, or who conducts himself/herself in an unsportsmanlike manner, or who is offensive by action or language to officials, volunteers, participants or spectators may be disqualified from the event and banned from future participation in any Runners Base Ltd event at the discretion of race officials.

3. Any participant who has been found by a event official surveillance team have gained an unfair advantage by intentionally shortening the route of the race (“cutting the course”) shall be immediately disqualified from the event and banned from future participation in any chunati.com marathon event.

4. Any person who participates in the event without a current official event bib number will be subject to removal and disqualification from current & future events.

5. No persons are authorized to be on the course unless they are registered participants. Therefore, no person shall be allowed to accompany a participant if he/she is not registered in the event, nor shall any participant be allowed, without the permission of the event management, to receive assistance from anyone during the progress of the event. Any person not properly displaying an authorized and issued bib number shall be directed to leave the course.

# PARTICIPANT SAFETY:

1. Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and colour relating to participant maps, facilities and direction.

2. Medical personnel authorized by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorized medical personnel, it is in the best interest of the participant’s health and welfare, medical personnel may remove the participant from the event.

3. Participants must retire at once from race if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers.

4. Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services.

5. Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, or suspend the race due to inclement weather in accordance with emergency protocol on severe emergencies and/or inclement weather. No refund will be issued in these circumstances. However, race materials will be given to all registered participants.

6. No refund will be issued if the event is cancelled due to a designated infectious or communicable disease or a threat or fear thereof, leading to quarantine or travel advisory or warning.

7. The organiser has no liability for any loss of travel or accommodation costs that the runner may incur.

# RESULT TIMING:

1. The official times shall be recorded from the start of the race by the starting gun to the point where the participant crosses the finish line.

2. Participants must wear the given race t-shirt & bib from start line to finish line, to receive an accurate finish time.

3. Participants must begin the event during the official recognized starting time in order to register an official course completion time.

# PHOTOGRAPHY:

1. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Run, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors and partners.

2. Photography and/or videography will be taken during the event for news and publicity purposes by the official photographer and/or videographer, and may be used for print, social media and on online/electronic platforms of the Organiser.

# APPEALS:

1. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeal once the appeal period has passed.

2. Protests must be submitted in to the organizer immediately after completion of race.

3.The decision of the Appeal Committee is final and the Organising Committee will not consider any appeal nor enter into any correspondence with Participants.

# EXCEPTION:

1. Any individual requesting a removal from the event must be done by the deadline given for registration which is 30th November 2022.

# AMENDMENTS / RESERVATIONS / ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

1. Event officials reserve the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.

2. Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event.

3. Failure to follow these event rules, as may be amended, will result in immediate disqualification, loss of prize money and removal from official results.
