Young talented architect Shakawat Ullah Jewel was stabbed by some snatcher near his home. He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where he was put under life-supporting ventilation at the intensive care unit after an operation. Leaving behind all the joys of life, he left us on 18th October, 2007 at 2100 hours. He was a student of Fouzdarhat cadet school and college and graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. He was the eldest one among his two brother and two sisters. Dead body of jewel was sent to his home village and was buried at his family graveyard after Namaj-e-Janaja. Please accept our profound condolences on the sudden, unexpected and tragic demise of Shakawat Ullah Jewel. His untimely departure is an irreparable loss to the nation and his family. May his soul rest in peace and May Allah give courage and strength to the bereaved family.
