Chunati high school, Lohagara, Chittagong, Bangladesh is a non-governmental secondary high school lies on the top of a hill in a very beautiful environment with natural scenery. To fulfill the long felt demand and necessity of education for the local poor children, some distinguished personalities with their concerted effort and indomitable enthusiasm establish this high school in the year 1957.

Amongst these unmemorable persons Late Dr.Nurul Alam and Late Mr.Rafiuddin khan were the founders and Late Mr.Abu Mohammad Sahabuddin was the life donar of this high school. Beside these, Late Estafa Ali Meah, Late Kazem Ali Master, Late Ishaq Meah, Secretary Ahmed Farid and many other distinguished educationalists of chunati laid down their valuable contribution for the establishment of this high school.

     6. Mr. Islam khan of Chunati has contributed one lac four thousand taka for the construction of a computer lab.
    
It has five brick built buildings. Two are two storied, two are one storied and one is tin-shed. Total area of this building is 16,178 square feet. There are one prayer Hall, one computer lab with two computers, two science laboratories with necessary equipments and chemicals and a library for 25 students accommodation with three thousand books. Moreover it has got good sanitation facilities.

It has got remarkable success in Chittagong division in sports, cultural programme, wall magazine and scouting. Mr Probal Datta Barua a former student of this school, later on from Dhaka University has been under consideration for president award in scouting. At present many students have been serving in home and abroad in many dignified posts in education, administration, engineering and medical. Besides these, some are devoted in social welfare activities.

About eight hundred students are studying in this school. There are three groups :-( 1) Science (2) Humanities (3) Business studies. From next year computer subject to be introduced.

The school is propelled by a strong teaching staff (14 teaches)under proper guidance of distinguished Head Master Mr.Joydatta Barua who have been selected best Head master by the Govt. for five times in Lohagara upazila, chittagong. The school is managed by a managing committee headed by a president Mr. Ershadul Hoq a distinguished educationalist of chunati.
Future Plan : To build up

1) An Auditorium for one thousand students accommodation.
2) A Mosque
3) School Boundary Walls
